More information about Gurkha humidor & it's history

The Gurkha cigar has an interesting history. And along with this comes the humidor. Developed more than a century ago, became known for its meticulous and hand-crafted cigars. In 1989, the brand was revived and the cigar industry was booming and the Gurka brand of cigars and humidors were the perfect product to attract new cigar customers.

When Gurkha began, the cigars differed from other cigars on the market, and they came in a wide range of price points and pallets. in the early stages the products offered were the finer, elusive products. By reviving Gurkha,a new price point created a cigar that was not a necessity, but a luxury to enjoy. Today, Gurkha produces cigars at any price on the palette and is now available in more than 1,000 different flavors.

A symbol of Class

Gurkha has several brands serving premium cigar smokers, including Elite, and by focusing on this segment, created a cigar brand with a high degree of exclusivity and high quality. Gurkhas are seen by many as status symbols and are synonymous with pomp and exclusivity. The Gurkha limited edition Humidor is included in this exclusive range. The Gurkha Lugano series humidor is also a very popular Humidor range but its price point is much more obtainable in the humidor market.

However, anyone can enjoy a beautifully handmade and aromatic cigar, and smoking a cigar and storing it in a humidor box is an unforgettable experience. Cigars and humidors have been associated with pleasure and a festive lifestyle for centuries and are one of the best things you can find in life.

The name reflects the fact that no cigar has ever been called Gurkha, no matter how long the company has been spinning cigars. The name "Gurkhas" reflects not only the history of the cigar humidor, but also the number of cigars that have ever been called that and how long they have been spun off from that cigar.

The term "Gurkha" was originally a name given to Nepalese fighters carrying the evil Hukuri sword. Did you know that the man behind the Gurkhas label is the son of the founder of one of Nepal's most famous military organizations, the Bhagavad Gita?

In homage to the warriors who had defeated the British, cigars made by colonial soldiers were called Gurkhas instead of cigars. British colonies, the name spread and eventually found its way to India, which explains the brand name "Gurkha Portuguese." British colony, it spread to other parts of the world, such as South America, Africa and Asia, but Kaizad decided to keep it and bought a small business to continue paying tribute to Nepalese warriors and honoring the history of British rule. Colonial soldiers fell in love with the names of their fallen comrades in the Bhagavad Gita.

It resembles the name of the Gurkhas, a group of warriors in the Bhagavad Gita, but with a different name and a slightly different origin.
